It a custom built wheel chair. For paraplegic riders... You sit in it, and steer like a bike, but you can't pedal. Props to the rider, he's pretty hardcore. Props to the rider. Your hardcore! |

I like how in the pictures the bike looks used. Not all clean and pristine. Lets me know you put allot into the testing / feedback. When is Canadian distribution supposed to come out of the works and into reality??? I would love to test ride one of these puppies. |

I say right on, it is only for the best I believe. Yes, when companies focus more on money, quality and customer service does take a backseat to profit. Thats business, and a company has to be at least profitable to feed it employees, and owners. This is the bike industry though, SRAM was started by people who were passionate about our sport, they believed they could make a difference. They were people who believed they could make high quality components for a quickly evolving sport, while making some profit. They are one of the biggest manufacturers. To start manufacturing bicycle parts, you need to know allot about biking, most importantly, I think you need to be a rider to understand the physics and riding techniques encountered and used. Then you know what will work and what won't, what will sell and what will collect in a tool box of spare parts, never seeing the light of day again. Our industry isn't like any other industry, our industry is about riding, having fun, and being active. There are allot of people who don't ride bikes, they drive cars, car companies know this. The fact that the automobile is the dominant form of transportation in our day and age. They can sell their cars for huge profit, with low quality, if you don't like it, there are multiple other companies to go buy from. I believe riders will always think about other riders, and what they want. I feel we are a tightly knit community within our sport. We pay to play, and the industry knows we need high quality products we can trust. Right now, bicycling is taking on a new face, it is becoming a competitor to the automobile. The rising gas prices, increasing demands for less emissions into the environment, and an obese population are making it more attractive to people who are concerned about these subjects . I think SRAM is thinking down the road, when the bicycle becomes an everyday form of transportation. They don't just manufacture parts for certain genres, they manufacture parts for the whole bicycling industry, from kids bikes, to commuters to dirt jumpers to downhill and freeride rigs. The need for research and development is increasing with the way mountain biking is progressing also. I'm sure SRAM will use their new found investor as a means to streamline an already impressive organization. We should only see good things and hopefully lower prices :p from the new partnership. - Go Ride. |

Wow "jazzboy" you ate your "Wheaties" this morning. |

I wish there were more cute riders like her out there. I would make one of them my wife instantly. Think about it, she would never be left at home while you go riding with the boys. A vacation would for sure include riding. She would be there to party with after a day on the mountain, and something super awesome and cute to wake up next to. Call me a softy but, hell ya! |

So were your parents when you came out of the closet. |

Gambler! That's what "When I ripped there just a short time ago, I can't remember any wooden stunts." means. Everything may have been an exageration. Good to see you take everything so seriously. If it helps, your right! - Go ride. |

Me simmer down hahah, you need to chill for one. Secondly, don't even start that Edmonton, Calgary, BS with me. Old guy. I am not even originally from Edmonton. I have ridden C.O.P. last year the year previous and also this year. I didn't say it was a cheap hill and I hear the fact you want better trails, who doesn't. It is their first year with the revamped park, all good things take time. Haha, you took "go ride" out of context, how sweet, you jump to conclusions. I also meant I would like to see you go out and rebuild that jump with managments concent. Your hardly worth my time, I'm out. - Go ride. |

When I ripped there just a short time ago, I can't remember any wooden stunts. Difference of opinion I guess. Where are these wooden stunts you speak of?? |
| link to story |
Yeah, they did remove all of the wooden stuff at the alpine resort. Oh natural Fernie has become. The local trails like Brad's Gay Trail are more fun. If your looking for some trouble. |

Think of it from a business stand point "dude". The less intimidating the hill is, the more people will come out to "try", and maybe take up biking, hence more seasons/ regular passes sales, and bike rentals for the hill. Riding may be about risk versus reward, but business is about supply and demand. C.O.P. supplies a mediocre bike park that a city(not a mountain town)/ weekend warrior rider base demands. More riders on hill = more money for owners. They opened late, yes, but because of the work done on the hill. They have obviously done their homework and figured that cutting hours to more peak hours is more beneficial to their budget. Have you not noticed the rising energy costs, they don't have slave kids running the quick quad chair, do they? So what if the hill doesn't accommodate all levels of riders anymore. If your that advanced of a rider hhhmm hhhmmmm we do live in Canada, and the mountains are lying there not moving any time soon. Stop being so closed minded. -Go ride. I would like to see you actually go out and fix that jump. |

I agree with brule. The liability is to high when you have "fun stuff" like skinnies, stunts, gaps, drop and DH courses. When someone gets hurt, it could cost the hill a lot of money if they are found negligent. Even though you sign a waiver, you are still on their property, if you get hurt badly, they could be held accountable. Most riders stay within their riding capabilities, but there is always someone who tries something out of their skill level and takes a ride in the meat wagon because of it (something not so uncommon within our sport). If you want to ride "fun stuff" there is tons of it in B.C. on crown land. Where you are on your own, you fall, there is no where to look for compensation. C.O.P. is just trying to get a wide array of riders out to enjoy a sport that is hard to get into living in a predominately flat city/ province. It is no mountain, its a hill, with a huge population living around it. Not everyone rides in Golden, because most have to travel to get there, and it is a steep unrelenting mountain range. You must be sure of yourself to rip there. As brule said "The only thing you are missing is the fact that this is lift access riding in a massive city and that locals should be proud to ride it." - Go ride. |

Shimano Hone, is a wicked set up I rode them for a season. I would never put anything by Truvativ on my bike again. I have blown up 2 sets of Truvativ cranks, more exact, the cryo-fit came apart from landing force. I have never had a problem getting my Race Face components on or off for service. You are obviously doing something wrong. |

Dazem, I've seen bmx cranks on a mtb, but by really heavy guys though. I have had the same set of Race face cranks / bottom bracket for 2 seasons now. I can describe them as bombproof. I have snapped two pedals off and they are still going strong. I think pinkbike12345 said it right! |

Panorama was a blast, When I rode it when "hells bells" was open. It wasn't that great compared to years before. The dirt jump lines were gone and they were smaller hits.... but almost the biggest hits on the mountains. I say, if you wish to improve your bermming and speed handling skills. Panorama is a great place to shred. All around flowy? I would say not to much. Moose powder to the drop/ jump park wasn't ready. Although the trail crew was working as hard as possible, and some trails and features weren't up to par. It was a god experience this year. I will be back! |

Wow dude. That was a misjudgement on my part, I apologize for what I said in regards to your bike shop. Thats was in no way directed towards the Revolution cycle shop in Rossland B.C. I'm sure they are a bunch of great people working at an awesome shop. I truly do feel like a douche bag for that. My slander, does however, still stand as a plight against the reputation of Revolution Cycle in Edmonton, Alberta. |

Kicking horse is awesome! Too bad Revolution cycle sucks, go there if you want really bad service and your balls pulled through your wallet. Money grubbing losers, worst bike shop ever!!! |

You have to simply get a petition going, anyone who has ridden there or has watched will sign it. Ask them, what do you want dope heads, boozers or bikers. These jumps keep youth out of trouble by allowing them to apply dedication, integrity, and recreation to their everyday lives. Someone should find out where the City Councilmen like to go quadding/ fishing. I would like see how much they drink while doing their hobbies. Drugs alcohol and garbage, what a crock. Better yet lets get rid of that fishing spot, lets destroy that quad trail. See how they like it since they can't quad and then have a peaceful rest waiting for that fish to bite. Up with jumps, down with the government. |

My pops would blaze this on his 1981 specialized stumpjumper. When he started ripping there was only rigid frames. Hahah the perfect bike, I say the bike helps, but... It is truly the rider that performs. |
